finally a weekend worth recounting...

gone are the monrings waking up with upset stomach's knowing that i have to pull an all day work on sunday. gone are the 80 hour weeks to meet a deadline that means nothing in the real scheme of life. or so i hope... two months later i am hoping that i have my life back in between the back to back three clients this month..

thursday was absolultey insane during the day. come 4:00 we finally had sent out financial statements to the SEC and regulators, and our team headed over to cheevys to meet up with the rest of our office who hadnt slept in weeks and had the same deadline. after one shot of something that was supposed to be patron and a huge margarita (im talking jumbo jet size) i could no longer form sentences to talk to lori and janet. i cut myself off after another drink and a trip to the restroom... ended up taking car service home with eileen garvey, one of the most senior women in fso, who i just happened to tell was the most intimidating partner of all...

friday rolls around and lori gave us the day off because of the craziness of the past few weeks. it was incredible not having that feeling in the pit of my stomach. i went to get my nails done and then headed into the city to meet tal for some shopping in soho since the weather cleared up. i got the most amazing pair of pumas and a great puma balzer. crossed the street to bloomingdales and picked up a whole new set of makeup for the spring season plus a few goodies from sephora. we ended up having dinner at boom which for the record i was impressed with. reminder to self do not have the lavender infused olive oil again.. leave it for the spa..

saturday i decided to meet up for brinch with my aunt in park slope. we went to this great little mexican cafe and sat outdoors. it was close to 60! who could pass that up in the winter. after a quick brunch in the slope, i met tal in the city to scout the upper west side and hells kitchen for apartment neighborhoods. we drove around for hours deciding that we loved areas west of broadway on the upper west and areas east of 11th and west of 8th in hells kitchen. next weekend we are exploring brooklyn...

and sunday, well today i am having a day of relaxation. i caught up on the hills and im waiting for the l word tonight..

its nice to have a little bit of life back.
